"Hotel Costa Verde did not meet our expectations; it was the most expensive place we stayed in Costa Rica and we liked it the least. The biggest problem is the hotel room walls are paper thin so we could clearly hear normal volume conversations taking place in the next room as well as lots of noise from the baby and toddler, waking us up multiple times during the night and noisy throughout the day as well. "The staff at Tabulia were terrific. Special shout out to Ariel and Henry for always being helpful. The meals were good. The pool and pool area was nice, though the tables could have used some umbrellas. The beds were a bit hard and the linens could be improved but overall we were happy with our stay."

"The first thing to note is the drive up to the hotel—it’s very bumpy and uneven. If you’re driving, it’s best to take it slow, and ideally use a rental car you don’t mind putting through rough terrain. During our stay, we ran into a few issues with the staff, mainly around excursions being booked incorrectly and some basic questions not being answered clearly.
