"I just returned from an incredible stay in Tanzania, and I'm still thinking about it. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The housekeeping team cleaned our room twice daily, twice!, and left everything pristine each time. It's the kind of attention to detail that makes you feel genuinely cared for. Speaking of care, the staff here set a new standard. Throughout the day, someone was always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It never felt intrusive—just warm and attentive in a way that's increasingly rare. The dining experience was a pleasant surprise. Every meal was a buffet with a wonderful variety, and at $20, it's remarkable value. We never left hungry or disappointed. Now, the view. I don't say this lightly: it's so stunning you'll wonder if it's real. Whether from our room or the dinning area, I found myself stopping just to take it in, over and over again. And if you like to stay fit even on vacation, there's a gym and paddle court you can use use, neat and descently equipped. And for anyone who worries about safety while traveling, the security here put us completely at ease. And as the locals will say - Hukuna matata - Guards are stationed at the beach area, which added an extra layer of comfort that let us fully relax and enjoy ourselves. Tanzania stole my heart, and Tembo was a big part of why. I'll be back!"

"Good standard of cleanliness in rooms, beds turned down every night, as well as spraying with repellant every evening. All team were super friendly, especially Joyce, Generozza, Happiness- all first class. Pascal-head chef, always wanted feedback to ensure all food met expectations- which was varied, fr3sh and really tasty. Would highly recommend and would certainly think about coming back."

"I can only rave about the service I received at this property. Everyone is so kind and so observant and so attentive to every single need. They go above and beyond. When I left this morning, they had a gift for me. I had to leave for my plane at 2 AM. They arranged for transportation pack me a breakfast coffee and gave me two gifts with a smile. I almost hated to leave. It was like I was going to be missed by my new family. The beach is absolutely beautiful. There is plenty of space. The villas are nice and big. The property is in pristine condition. I have no complaints. They remember my birthday also saying to me brought me a cake made up the bed with decorations twice excellent excellent excellent! Highly recommend"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ycona resort in Zanzibar. From the moment we entered the resort the workers made us feel like we were at home. They allowed us to have an early check in after our morning flight. We stayed in the beach villa, which was absolutely magnificent. Private pool, great views of the ocean, and a rooftop tub as well. The villa was clean and well-cooled, a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. What really made our stay at Ycona special was the amazing service from everyone present. Whenever we needed to go somewhere, a golf cart was ready within 10 minutes to take us around the resort, and the drivers, especially Omar, were extremely kind and accommodating. The food was amazing as well at all of the restaurants, and the romantic dinner we did had a fantastic meal. Grace, Esther, Samwel, Omar, Leyla, Anja the GM, and everyone else we met were ready to do everything they could to make our stay memorable and enjoyable and that is truly what made our stay so special. The Cave Spa was also well worth the money. Ycona was a 10/10 experience with a beautiful resort and setting and I’m looking forward to coming back whenever I return to Zanzibar. "
