Absolutely the worst.and no where were we notified that that's what it was going to be like we weren't discounted, nothing. Just went in thinking we could get some decent sleep. "Location, location is great!! A few blocks from seal cove and great view of the ocean from our balcony. Basically within walking distance to everything in LaJolla. We used Valet parking which worked perfectly for us. The Birds Eye View rooftop bar was a nice spot to enjoy delicious cocktails or to grab a bite to eat. "Room was expensive and came with nothing. 2 tiny trash bags. And face wash/lotion...no hand soap. Didnt say construction was going on. I wouldnt come back. Wish i wouldnt have wasted the money"

"Great beach, coffee shop, restaurants everything is close. The pool small and not working and no hot tub. Location great and room with Oceanview very nice. If you want location an excellent spot if you want amenities like a pool go somewhere else. "

"This hostel is right on the main street in Ocean Beach so parking is a bit of a hassle but it was easy enough to find street parking around the block. There's plenty of restaurants to eat at locally and 2 places close by to get food (a Target and a grocery store). Samesun OB doesn't look exactly like the online photos but it was still really nice with plenty of spaces to hang out in and socialize or just sit quietly and read a book. I loved the laid back vibe. "Breathtaking views, family friendly environment, great place to stay with kids, amazing food at the Oceana restaurant, lovely beach. The only downside is old bathrooms. It really needs a good renovation- a walking shower, new tiles and walls would attract more guests there specially younger generations. "
