"Stunning hotel that I believe was a hospital. It has gated parking. Parking in Portugal is hard to find. There is an indoor pool and two outdoor pools, one of which is shallow and has slides for children. Our dinner at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. I also enjoyed a spa treatment that was wonderful and relaxing. The location is perfect and we were able to walk to most of the attractions and historical buildings as well as numerous shops, bakeries and restaurants. I wonderful experience."

"For context, we stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Portugal, and it was by far the best place we stayed. The design of the hotel was beautiful. Everywhere you looked, there were fantastic views of the Douro River and surrounding hills framed by massive windows. The facilities were amazing. The staff was very very kind and helpful everywhere you went. The food at breakfast and both of their main restaurants was phenomenal. It really felt like a luxury hotel experience and was well worth the money. We couldn't have been happier about our stay."

"This property was spectacular!!! I when we were driving over the bridge and spotted the hotel, I was soooo excited. The location on the river is beautiful. We had a king bed, beautiful Bathroom, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the river and the bridge as the backdrop. Breakfast is included and spectacular. The staff is very helpful and informative. They booked our tours and dinners. I wish I had one more day to just stay at the hotel and enjoy all of the amenities."

"Beautiful bed & breakfast, up the hill from downtown Regua. Nice view looking down to the Douro River. The house is tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. You really need a car if you stay here or have to call taxis. Even though they're just a mile from the train station the owner will not drop you off or pick you up."
