"Excellent location near Yosemite gate! Well appointed room King w/Queen loft and fully equipped kitchenette. beds comfy with soft sheets. Plenty of space for 4 adults. Property restaurant was fair, but pizza shop was great. Large fire pit great for s’mores. Would definitely stay again."

"I think lake view lodge is the most significant lodge in Lee Vining with its history and the beautiful setting among other hotel/motels. Really loved the garden on site and Basin cafe, we stayed one night, and had dinner breakfast and lunch at Basin cafe the food is huge quantity with good quality. We will come back if visit Lee Vining again !"
Yosemite Gateway Motel

"The room we stayed in.. #4 really needs some basic maintenance. It needed it last year too when we stayed there. Nothing has been fixed. Windows still do not lock and screen door still does not shut properly. We do like rhe location so we came back. Now we know that the rooms below 1-4 are quite and better maintained. So are others. Not sure how to book the newer rooms, but I'll figure it out before next time. There aren't really any amenities. The new girl at the front desk is very nice and easier to communicate with."

"We really enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to returning again next time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was bountiful and tasty. Room was nice. Enjoyed having patio access. We were given fish food to feed the trouts raised in their tanks. We walked around the property to see the cabins near the creek. Overall a very good place to stay."

"The room was cozy and clean. I could tell there were recently upgrades to the room like fresh paint. The bed could use a new mattress but not horrible. My only other suggestion would be hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels. But all in all I really enboyed my stay and will book there again. They were very accommodating as far as my request for a downstairs unit."

"Beautiful property! Very close to the lake and most importantly walking distance from many great places to eat. We loved the decor and the mini kitchen was perfect for coffee and to make an omelette or have some leftovers. 10/10 staff was friendly and very helpful"
