"Hotel and staff were great. The road is noisy and there is a Muslim call to prayer that is amplified several times a day. They rent scooters onsite and the beach is a few minute scooter ride away. "

But there is a 7-11 about 7 minute walk and night market about 8 minute walk. Lots of restaurants and roti a few minutes away. I would definitely stay here again!! "

"We stayed here for 5 nights and had a really great stay, we were a bit nervous after reading some reviews about noise level, but it was pretty quiet for the most part but YMMV. The A/C unit took a bit to get to the sweet spot and the building was a bit dinged up in spots, but the staff even with limited English was very sweet and accommodating. If location and price are two of the big checkmarks for you than I think Salty Sand is a good choice. If potential noise and partying isn’t for you...

"A great family hotel choice. The location is excellent - there’s a long tail boat station just opposite for easy access to Railay. The night market is a short walk away and there are great restaurants and cafes close by. The swimming pool is great for kids. Our room (family suite) was huge, very clean and the children were very happy with the free drinks and snacks included. It’s not a luxurious hotel, but we were very happy with our choice. "

"Arrived early for check-in, 12.30pm, reception informed us that check-in was 2.00pm, they made us wait untill 2.00pm, never had this happen in any of our other 7 hotels visited on this trip around Thailand. Room was nice and big, good cleaning service, not much available to relax in the evening, breakfast just ok. Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Ao Nang Beach.."

"Nice place to stay in Ao Nang. Personally loved the location being a bit further away from the business of Ao Nang but still within walking distance of Ao Nang beach and the Night Market as well as down the road from a 7-Eleven and also some great restaurants nearby! Would definitely recommend if spending 2-3 nights in Ao Nang and don't want to stay a little out of the thick of the action in Ao Nang!"
