"Our first "pool view" room was awful. The shower leaked and flooded the bathroom floor. It smelled terribly of mold and mildew and I have asthma and could not stay in the room. Luckily the hotel staff helped move us to a new room. It was better but loud. We ordered dinner from the restaurant in the lobby and it wasn't great. We both only finished about half of our meal. Breakfast was better but not all rooms come with it included. We downgraded our room so that I could breath, however they didn't discount the price and we still had to pay for breakfast even though I had originally paid for it with the previous room charge. No discount or refund. The "free 24/7 shuttle" never arrived at the airport so we had to end up paying a taxi driver after waiting for over an hour. We cancelled the reservation for the end of our trip and booked with a different hotel."

"The beach was very dirty, with trash everywhere—even a floating diaper. If you’re looking for a beachfront experience, I wouldn’t recommend booking here. The pictures are misleading and don’t reflect the actual condition."

"The unit was clean, in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. Instant coffee, teabags, sweeteners, and milk were available in the room along with an electric kettle. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety along with cooked to order eggs, very tasty. We ate dinner at the restaurant twice and enjoyed our meals. Check in and out was simple and quick, staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again."

"The suite was perfect for a family of two adults and a teenager. Plenty of space and is kept clean and tidy by the wonderful staff."

"Everything is great except for inability of the hotel to answer my messages through the Expedia site. I messaged the property 2 months ahead about us needing the airport shuttle but we never got an answer from the hotel. Expedia customer service called the hotel for us and still we did not get an answer. Fortunately we saw the hotel's shuttle sign as we exited the airport and got it from there. FYI: the hotel is within walking distance from the airport and the shuttle is not free. But with a flight arriving late at night, the shuttle is convenient."

"We could not say anything less than AMAZING. Prime location, amazing landscaping and beautiful villas. That’s my review regarding the premises. Now service and food speaking; that’s where you have a real difference. Everyone during our stay were available, friendly and respectful. Every detail matters and this is where Maya stands out. "The property location and staff was excellent. The only concern we experienced was the use of laundry service which did not work as expected. Continues issue with washer and dryer let us loose few hours to get it done. The hotel staff did help with broken machines but the amount of time spent to get laundry done was over 4 hours. The food quality was excellent too. The staff in breakfast area was excellent and loved the reception and respect they displayed during all days stay at the hotel."

"The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are great and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is great with a good selection of food. There’s a shuttle service to the beach and to eat street. The laundry service is also good value. Stayed for 10 days this time and would recommend it highly for the overall vibe."
