"Great location to be right across from the beach. The hotel was clean and even though we had to wait an additional 20 minutes past check in for our room to be ready the staff kept me updated and informed and worked as quickly as they could. The AC blew cold air in Texas summer heat. The parking can be an issue. You can pay for the garage. If not park in the street for free. It was not hard to find street parking. Just a little bit of walking! Recommend staying here!"

"Fully renovated doesn't mean new paint over drywall patches. So much was wrong here. Tears in the mattress with no bug protection, the sink fixtures were loose from the counter, puddle inside the door when we arrived, our smoke alarm was leaking water...the bar, indoor pool and restaurant are down the road at different facilities. Brandy was amazing at the front desk. The view was nice, but the room wasn't nearly what we expected."

"Our stay was awesome, we were welcomed as soon as we arrived. The building is over 100 years old and is a gorgeous representation of a mansion from that time period. We were given a brief history of the property. Our room was really nice. The complimentary social hour and breakfast was pleasant. Breakfast was good. I would absolutely stay here again."

"The whole setup of the hotel felt a little strange and inconvenient. The pool access was confusing and difficult since you had to go across from the hotel to get to it, which didn’t feel very practical. The room itself was okay, but the AC was positioned in a very weird spot, so the air was constantly blowing directly in your face while you were in bed. Overall, the layout and setup just didn’t feel well thought out."
