"This historic hotel interior is designed as if it were 1880. The rooms are that way too. Great bar and nice restaurant, where the complimentary breakfast is served (vege frittata, scones and coffee, tea). It’s a well run 5 star hotel in downtown Grass Valley. "

"It was such a fun place to be in. Seemed like "glamping" under the pine trees. New room and shower, many amenities and near Old Town Grass Valley. Would like to visit again in the future."

"It’s great when you can support an independent motel instead of the big chains. We enjoyed a clean comfortable shower and sleep in a comfortable very well kept little motel. The a/c was wonderful, cool, with a steady sound that never awakened me the way the ones at too many other hotels have on our cross country trip. "
