"The hotel is very nice & very close to Philly for a great price. All of the staff were friendly, kind, & helpful. Breakfast was good. I do wish fresh coffee was out all the time.
The downside for me is that I am mobility impaired--almost wheelchair bound. I do use a wheelchair at times. This room was on the first floor & considered accessible. It was pretty good. Unfortunately, there really isn't enough room for a wheelchair to maneuver. The worst part for me, or anyone using the room, was that the shower curtain wasn't weighted or heavy enough to hang straight down, nor totally inside the accessible shower, AND the floors are not slanted properly to drain. I got up to use the bathroom & there was a full inch of water on the floor from the door to the shower and the carpet in the bedroom was soaked at the door. Ice cold water & my balance is poor. I almost slipped & fell. The shower bottom is also slick & dangerous--absolutely not ADA compliant. The staff, location, & price make this hotel. Unfortunately, like dozens of others I've stayed in since I became disabled, I won't be able to stay here again unless it's made actually ADA compliant. I dont understand these contractors who claim their work is ADA compliant or the inspectors who approve what obviously is not. I'm very disappointed bc I want to come back to Philly to visit.
I do very much appreciate the care & concern on the staff. Kudos to them!"
