Cari Pension di Penrith

"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

"Great location for pubs and restaurants. House was spotless from top to bottom. Nice touches in the room with homemade cake and chocolate bars to have with your tea/coffee."

"Have stayed at the George several times before and come back for its cosy, slightly old fashioned charm and warm welcome. Comfortable rooms, showers that work, and great breakfasts and meals. Will return again when in Penrith."

"Staff very welcoming. Food really nice and very filling. Perfect stay for us. Thankyou"

"Great room, bed, air conditioning and general vibe. Would return happily"

"Tons of character"

"A very lovely Victorian house. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you."

"The room was gorgeous and Sue is the kindest person. Lots of attention to detail and the little things that make your stay special. One issue was low water pressure in the shower due to a temperamental electric device that runs the shower head."

"The place was wonderful. The only flaw was the difficulty I had finding the transportation they promised from the airport/train station, since there were no signs. I could see the place from outside, but I couldn't figure out how to safely walk there."

"I was here for work, so slightly different priorities. But I enjoyed breakfast in my room and the whole order the night before set up, which included the time you wished to eat. Breakfast was good. this also meant the room had a table, which in my situation was very useful. Tea and coffee etc could be replenished from hall box. Good quality toiletries. Comfortable bed. Car parking on site, in fact very convenient all round."

"Really cosy and a lovely place to stay - I stayed on my own and the staff were friendly, the food was good and the room was really comfortable and spacious. The location is great as there are walks starting in Glenridding meaning you haven't got to drive anywhere and it was a quieter area. My only grumble is that it would have been nice to use the bath but it was so grubby and I didn't fancy laying in the tub."

"The room was lovely & comfortable. The Evening meal was delicious. The only thing that let us down was the breakfast. It didn’t seem to be freshly cooked and wasn’t very hot & not very well cooked. A shame. If we stay again we will not pay extra for the breakfast."

"Very helpful and friendly staff, in a wonderful isolated hotel retaining its 1937 origins. Food excellent. Great walks from the car park at the end of the road (1mile +). Very dog friendly."
