"Every single thing about this hotel from start to finish was perfect. The staff members at the front desk and restaurant were so warm and helpful, the entire hotel feels like you’re stepping back in time in all the best ways, and the room was INCREDIBLE. Both the breakfast and the dinner there were delicious. We stayed in a Superior Deluxe room that was so cozy and full of character I wished we had booked more than one night there. Very easy access to the entire town from here and everything is walkable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this town."
"Rooms were clean and nice.
Breakfast was ok and no changes in breakfast menu next day as well. They keep same food items.
Men’s changing room near pool was stinking with foul smell.
Sauna size is too small as compared to hotel size."
"Clean room. Looks like I stayed in a brand new renovated room. There is a lot of building work being done with the lift to my floor being out so had to walk the rest of the way up stairs which wasn’t a big issue for me."
"Our room was just great. Plenty big enough for an 8 day stay. Everything worked and the TV was fine.
The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and powerful enough, despite a few stray shoots of water from the rear where it was not best coupled. The bathroom showed some signs of tiredness. There were signs of water damage and the mirror though good enough, had edges showing de-silvering.
The reception staff and management were so helpful and friendly. We were really impressed by the attidude show and felt well looked after.
The position of the hotel in Shirley is excellent. The Saracens Head pub in front is handy and very good likewise.
Overall, we felt the hotel was excellent value for money and gave us a brilliant stay.
Highly recommended!"
