"The only complaint we had was the door to get to the rooms slammed shut once opened. It probably needs a catch on it to slowly close. It was pretty nerve wracking at 2am but other than that we loved it. Great continental breakfast!"

"Property is on a beautiful flat beach with tons of shells. Our room was quiet and faced the parking lot. King bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ample with 24 hour hot water and coffee in the lobby. We did not use the pools but there were 4- Lazy River, 1.5 foot wading pool, regular pool and an indoor pool with jacuzzi. Would definitely rebook this one!"

"Really nice beach hotel. I stayed there for a conference. Burger is good in restaurant and the coffee is good at the snack shop. Very very nice staff and it is very clean. I felt the beds were comfortable the only draw back was the water pressure in the shower."

"We love staying at Shell Island resort. Comfortable rooms. Great place to stay in the off season with kids - if there is bad weather, there is an indoor pool to swim!"

"Everything was great! The breakfast was outstanding and Jeff kept everything well stocked. He was very positive and took pride in what he was doing. The only negative was that the bottom sheet in the bed felt like sandpaper and that was identified to the front desk at checkout."

"Our stay at Silver Lake was wonderful, Hanna & John were perfect hosts and have done a great job with renovating both the hotel and The Jolly Roger! The room was spacious and well appointed with all needs met. The newly added rockers and side tables on the porch were enjoyable and the resort Bicycles made getting around a fun experience."
