"First off let me say this place is nestled in nature on a beautiful lake. The place designed perfectly to feel nature. If you are looking for a quiet get away, this place will not disappoint. The staff is gracious and you arrive to a nice cool drink and a beautiful entrance. The jacuzzi was not working when we arrived, but the pool area feels like Paradise and the jacuzzi is small above ground, not so great. The rooms have balcony with amazing lake views good AC, beds are comfortable and nice. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and cared for. You need to rent a car to go to the local towns, Flores (40 min) and to get tipical food, not only is it cheaper but delicious. For Tikal you can drive and see it on your own for the day. The only reason to need a guide is if you are going for the sunrise tour (MUST HAVE) Which you can coordinate with the hotel concierge. Other wise 45 min drive and only 150Q= $21usd approx for the regular day pass. Parking at the hotel is abundant and free. The rest of the tours I booked myself and left from Flores. Much cheaper.
All in all an amazing trip and beautiful stay at this hotel. "
