A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

The bread was excellent, too. Dinner was the same both nights, but again very good, the fish dish being especially delicious. Also, as others have noted, the room was very small and lacked space for our suitcases. The bathroom was quite possibly the smallest we have ever experienced in Japan - and we lived in Japan...

"It was a nice Japanes experience with the futon on the floor. Only two points negative. There was no towels for the shower unless you rented it for 200 yen. Breakfast was only croissants with coffee, juice,butter and jam. "
