Great overnight stop over.

Very nice stop over stay on a journey home. Great food and spacious room. Lovely location in a sleepy Hampshire village where time has stood still. Wood burner on which is always a nice bonus! Would definitely stay again.

Made very welcome on our arrival. Room was clean and tidy, and dinner was delicious - all credit to the chef and kitchen staff who had to tackle all the orders for the night in one go following a village wide power cut. Breakfast was very tasty and set us perfectly for the walking ahead of us. The only criticism is that the shower was very hit and miss - either scalding or freezing!

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. They phoned to check if we wanted an evening meal ordering as the kitchen was due to close shortly. We didn’t but arrived in time for a dessert and cheese board all of which were lovely. Dogs were welcomed and easy safe parking Only slight negatives were the bathroom was very basic and quite dated and the noise of an external fan could be heard all night through open bedroom window We would definitely stop here again and look forward to doing so

Alovely lovely place to stay and we Will stay again ,loved that the floors are wonky but what do do expect just full of character loved it . A heads up my partner is 6ft the shower was a little on the small size .. the room was slightly smaller than we expected . The people are lovely can’t fault it at all , food was lovely enjoyed the crab especially … it was b+b shame we were not offered a cold takeaway brekkie as sadly we were leaving before breakfast was served . Highly recommend a beautiful pub .. as we stayed in the heat wave a fan in the room would have been a welcome edition .. but thoroughly ended out stay .

Due to traffic issues we arrived at 4 pm and the pub was closed and all doors were locked until 6pm, we had to visit a nearby pub (The Bat And Ball) for a meal until Ye Olde George Inn opened up for us to check in, apart from that we enjoyed our stay

A lovely pub in a beautiful location

Very welcoming when checking in. Food was delightful, when I was asked about breakfast, I said I would be gone well before they start, so they made me a sandwich to takeout and a lovely croissant and Jam. Would I stay again!…… most definitely

Lovely location, comfy bed, nice and quiet when pub closes at 11pm (wasn't very noisey before then) parking on site, bottled water and biscuits in room, spacious room. Fantastic Full English Breakfast included, probably the best I've ever had; thanks Chef Matt 🏆 Arthur & Kay were very friendly, helpful and efficient 🙏 A great place to stay, eat and drink, thank you!

Great stay. Beautiful old coaching inn in lovely village just off the South Downs Way. Really nice meal, probably best fish and chips and mushy peas I’ve ever had, lovely treacle tart, all with great service from the lovely Victoria. Very comfortable bed. Can’t fault it. Highly recommend, especially if doing the South Downs Way.

Quaint village pub.

A quaint pub in a very small village. The reception & staff were friendly & efficient. We enjoyed our dinner & breakfast. Generally, the accommodation was a bit tired but it was comfortable for our one night stay.

Stayed here as one of my night stops of the South Down Way Trail. Situated in the lovely little village of East Meon. The staff were very welcoming and and very accommodating. The room was perfectly acceptable for what I needed it for and I was blessed with the bath! Perfect for a soak after a long day of walking. The menu and food were both great and reasonably priced, as was the beer selection. I had to check out before breakfast as I had an early start and they were happy to accommodate with breakfast to take away. Overall a great stay over with a great evening meal

The staff at Ye Olde George were all really friendly, helpful and polite from the moment I arrived till I left. The food in the restaurant was excellent pub food and the Badger ales they had were well kept. The room was spacious, comfortable and pretty quiet. East Meon is a lovely little village with plenty of walking around the area. I enjoyed my stay and extended it by an extra night. I'd return again to explore more of the South Downs.
