"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. "Easy check in, we'd been before and were familiar with arrangements. Staff remembered us and were friendly. Room clean, stairs steep and narrow, fortunately we didn't have a lot of luggage. Breakfast freshly made and excellent. Full bar services available. Car parking is an issue, chargeable car parks around, limited free parking if you know where to go and prepared to walk. "

"Had a wonderful stay. On a busy road but very quiet in rooms and free parking. Everything you need in the room, lovely shower and kitchenette with fridge , nice tv and games in drawers. Bed comfortable . Good choice of breakfast and delivered hot to room at a choice of time . Host very friendly and helpful . Would definitely recommend. "
