"This is a humble, low-key homestay rather than a hotel, but it is an excellent option for travelers on a budget who want to explore the caves. "Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Nguyen Shack so much! There is such lovely views from the room and eating area. The yoga was amazing and it was so convenient having breakfast there every AM, The staff are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met,., they truly want you to feel at home. "If I could give this place more stars I would. Honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We got in late after an overnight bus and the owner came and picked us up from the bus stop. The place was well kept, and extremely beautiful. He also kept our bags the whole next day while we did a cave tour and even dropped us off at the train station after."

"The whole Thuong Hai team was very welcoming and attentive and made our stay very pleasant. The room rate was wallet friendly and breakfast (different egg variations, pan cakes, bread, fresh fruit and coffee/tea) was included. The room was clean and spacious. Would book again 😊"

"Very friendly family run hotel. I really enjoyed my 3 nights at Paradise Hotel. Everybody I met were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked well. The room was quite large for the price paid. Prices for good food and drinks were great. They booked me a tour for amazing day at the Caves which I really enjoyed. If I get back to Phong Nha, I will definitely stay at Paradise Hotel again. Thank you everybody for giving me an enjoyable experience."

"The rooms were big, spacious and clean. Breakfast was a good and basic. I enjoyed the banana pancakes. But I found the female owner wasn’t very friendly unless you booked tours with her. We hired bikes and grabs to get to the caves and points of interest. We didn’t join any tours, she stopped talking to us. The male owner was very pleasant and was lovely to deal with. "

"The host was really nice and helpful! He arranged a day trip for us to see caves. Rooms were nice and clean, we only had a small problem with the heat during the nights. It got quite hot unfortunately "

"Awesome place to have a laid back stay in Phong Nha. We went in January and were the only ones in the hotel. Originally we had booked 2 bunks but when we arrived they put us in 2 private rooms. Not sure if it was a mixup or an upgrade but it was a nice change after a month sharing rooms. "
