"We've been visiting Nice for 20+ years, and stayed in lots of hotels. This is a new favourite: perfect location; the room was spotless, with a good shower; the balcony was wonderful; the staff friendly. Only downside was that the bed was a bit small! But if that's all you have to complain about, you've had a good time. Brilliant - highly recommended."

"My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The staff was so kind and welcoming. There were so many amenities to enjoy while there, definitely recommend grabbing something from the bakery. The spa with the heated pools was definitely a highlight and a good way to relax. The room was so clean and comfortable as well. Overall this is a great hotel with rich history and I hope to return here again one day!"

"Comfortable and happy stay at Mama Shelter. The bed was super comfy! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. A little walk from tram stop and seafront but very near Nice Riquier station - perfect for day trips - and only a few minutes from a good range of restaurants and bars. Buffet breakfast decent with a good amount of choice. Options for the restaurant and terrace menus are a but decent. "Location is great if you don’t get a street facing room! The street noise was beyond ridiculous pretty much all throughout the night and as the air conditioning didn’t work I had to have the window open! The noise got worse as the week went on and most mornings the machine noises woke me up at 6am, not a very relaxing holiday after being woken at various times throughout the night! "
