AVOID!
Before we even got here, finding the location on the map proved difficult for some reason? A warning sign perhaps?
I’m not convinced this isn’t just a very cheap room in a very cheap tenement block. The “reception” was filthy, a dusty router, clutter and untucked shirts gave a substandard but honest appraisal of what to expect with the room! The lack of attention to detail / upkeep was evident throughout the building including the corridors, rooms, lack of window cleaning and no safety lighting…
“Security” was non-existent! The security gentleman on the door was so engrossed in the video on his phone I don’t think we ever clocked eyes. The lack of security continued inside with the internal keycard door between reception and the lifts being fully removed for half of the week for no apparent reason.
Even before approaching the room, the corridor was dark, austere and set the tone for what was to be with the accommodation itself.
Upon entering the accommodation, in short it was dismal! Just to point out up front, this wasn’t a case of cleanliness or anything that could be rectified during the stay itself but a clear desire by the owners to go for a cheap / flat pack model of accommodation; all frills were most definitely spared and the photos on the internet were clearly staged and when this place was fresher and new…
Immediately upon entering the accommodation, the room smelt damp, all furntiure was cheap and upkeep was non existent. Student Accom meets prison…
