"The service -- warmth, responsiveness, sense of humour -- of the staff were the best we have ever experienced. Ditto for the quality of the breakfast as well -- incredible variety of fresh, mostly locally sourced items so that even the continental option was an array of choices unlike any other of this type. Our room was luxurious: super comfy bed, gorgeous view, space, niceties in the room for making espresso, tea or regular coffee."

"Room was tight on space. Breakfast came in a box, which with such a small room there was no where to sit. The breakfast in the box was ample. It was not totally clear that this was how we would receive breakfast and cost 15euros to upgrade to the restaurant. Only two restaurants to serve a huge complex meant that had to wait to be served and to queue, or book in advance. Otherwise the room was quiet and adequate, but it needed a light in the wardrobe corner as difficult to see what was in your case."

"Great location, easy to do the Ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula, helpful and welcoming staff. Liked the filtered water tap available on our floor to fill our room jug. We ate dinner on our first night and was impressed with the quality and value, so we did the same for all our nights. Breakfast was good and varied."

"Another visit to the Talbot Hotel Cork. Aoife greeted me at reception with a smile and a warm welcome. I was given a suitable room, as requested. It was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The food served in the restaurant was tasty, hot and served in good time. Keira took my order and was very friendly and professional. The restaurant manager, Leonard, was very professional and courteous. Overall, the team provided excellent professional customer service."

"Very nice hotel in an excellent location. There is public parking right across the street. The rooms are a little older but have charm. There is a pool and hot tub on site. Very friendly staff. There is a very cool and award winning speakeasy in the basement. I would definitely stay here again!"
