"You can see the beach from the window of Room 21. I am American but lived in Houlgate when I was 16. This little hotel is clean, 1 minute walk from the beach, and you are right near many restaurants and shops. I would not rent a car to come here. Just take a car service from the train station in Deauville. Nonetheless, the hotel is simple, well managed, and the host is very friendly. Excellent breakfast too. "

"We stayed as a family for 7 days. We had a refurbished apartment and we very happy, great view to the sea. Check in was simple and although it was August there was always somewhere to park and the pool was never too busy. I did think there would be more places to eat close by in the marina but was quite limited. There was more in the town 1/2 hour walk away. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. The area was lovely and we visited many areas easily. Would definitely recommend as a basic base. "

"Beautifully clean apart/hotel. Rooms in newly decorated condition and facilities spotless. Friendly staff who despite our poor efforts at speaking French made every effort not to make us feel awkward. Our only criticism, and it is a minor issue, is that there was no English type tea! Rooms all had fruit flavoured teas supplied but would have been nice to have had good old English Breakfast tea too! We bought our own locally in the end so didn’t go without! Location is ideal and only a short distance to main centre where there are very good restaurants although quite limited in number and not all open for food in the evening. We used the hotel as a base to visit the Normandy beaches and it was ideal for that purpose. All in all a lovely hotel and worth a stay. "
