"We stayed at Tesoro Beach Hotel in El Salvador and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The condition of the hotel is outdated. Our bathroom had visible mold in the bathtub, shower water was SALTY, which made it uncomfortable to use. We also experienced a power outage during our stay, which added to the frustration. On top of that, some of our family members got sick after eating the food. The breakfast was meh, not impressed. Service was another downside it was consistently slow and not very attentive. Overall, we were not happy with our stay. We actually checked out a day early. Place is old and creepy."

"So the location is nice on the beach. However there is nothing else around besides two bodegas about 10 minute walk. I left early because I caught their night time restaurant security guard trying to steal cigarettes off my patio table early one morning. I reported it to the staff but nothing happened. Saw the same guy back the next day and I was freaked out and decided to cut my trip short. The villas are shipping containers. Granted the price was low but the bed was rock hard and the couch was beyond uncomfortable. Paint peeling, rust and one temp showers. My unit had a nice hole right by the bed thru the little bit of drywall they did line the shipping container with. Food at the restaurant was good however expensive for the area. Seems like the restaurant is the big goal for them and the hotel part is an afterthought. So if you don’t mind sleeping on an uncomfortable bed and possibly getting robbed by their security go for it. I hate to write bad reviews but it is what it is. "

"We had a great overall stay. The views were absolutely breathtaking, definitely a must-see and one of the highlights of the trip. The complimentary breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, which was a big plus. The amenities were also very nice, the pool and spa were always heated and well-maintained, making it really enjoyable to relax. However, there were a couple of downsides. The service at the restaurant was quite slow, it often took a long time for staff to come take our order or even ask for drinks. Also, we had requested an ATV tour a day in advance, but were only informed at the last minute that the ATVs were not working, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a good experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement in service and communication."

"Better breakfast choices needed. Fruit breakfast did not have tropical fruits like papaya or mangoes. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was great! Great facilities. I don't have small children, but a dedicated area for little ones would be wonderful!"

"I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and would not recommend it, especially for families. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the atmosphere was not what was advertised. There was loud music playing well into the night—until around 3 AM—which made it nearly impossible to get any rest. There were random people coming in and out of the property who didn’t appear to be hotel guests, creating an uncomfortable environment. The hotel seemed far more focused on operating as a restaurant and lounge than as a place for guests to relax. The staff prioritized restaurant patrons over those actually staying at the hotel, which was frustrating and disappointing. Any concerns we had felt dismissed. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the advertised ocean views, but those were completely obstructed by restaurant tables and lounge furniture. It felt misleading and not at all what we expected based on the listing. Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations. We ended up checking out after just one night and finding alternative accommodations. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you’re hoping for a peaceful, family-friendly stay. "

"My take on the room… There was a separate/private room, but unfortunately it was very hard to sleep there. And the room had a very strong, unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The bed near the sliding door felt unstable (tilted), the pillows were very hard. Service was okay, but it could easily be improved. For the price you pay per night, I expected a higher level of comfort and attention to detail. At check-out, no one asked how the stay was, I had to bring it up myself. That kind of customer service really makes a difference. I would love to recommend this place because the setting is beautiful, but these details should definitely be addressed. "
