"The hotels location is perfect, right in the centre of town. Staff are brilliant, professional and friendly. Didn't use the pool as was too hot in there, but another time maybe. They were having problems with the boiler but well handled by reception. Oh I can't forget the Cheese Souffle!!! It was amazing!!"

"The room was clean and large. There was an odd smell that bothered us, likely new paint or carpeting that had not been sufficiently aired out. There was no offer of assistance to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs. We were not the only guest to struggle with this. Breakfast was good and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Location was excellent for getting into the main part of town. Parking was not ideal - in a nearby lot. It would be nice if the hotel arranged specific parking...

"Whilst my room was small, it had all I needed. The highlight was the staff: reception and bar/restaurant staff were excellent. Polite, attentive, efficient. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. The restaurant menu for dinner was ok but sometimes a wider simpler choice would have been nice."

Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area."

"A character-full period property in an impressive setting, with parking space provided. Everything was clean and tidy.The breakfast room has some great views of the surrounding landscape. The breakfast itself was delicious and plentiful. There is also a lounge room downstairs which has a shared fridge and a free espresso maker in for use throughout the day.
