"Room had an old musty smell. Carpet was dirty. Rooms and building are old and dated. Breakfast was not as advertised. Expedia photos are misleading. Not worth the price"

"Only complaint was how hot the hotel was. We walked into our room and were met with a wave of heat. It was probably 23° in the room and we found a note in the room that said the hotel doesn’t run AC in the “winter months” (stayed April 17-19). The only option was to open the patio door, which was fine during the day but the property is surrounded by nightclubs. We laughed when we saw ear plugs on the bedside tables to “drown out the Whyte noise”. We spent a fair bit of time in our room and so got to enjoy the variety of auditory delights ranging from street preachers to buskers with electric guitar and a full drum kit and the thumping bass of night club life and wafting cloud of marijuana smoke. The hotel itself was fine. I actually really liked the breakfast and the staff were all pleasant and helpful, but we are not party people and so likely won’t visit again!"

"My husband and I stayed here for one night. There are more pros that cons: Pros: - helpful friendly staff - location was great - room was clean - bed was very comfortable - tv worked great (it's always disappointing when you can't stream your own stuff, this worked really easily) Cons: - rooms could use an upgrade, has that “old hotel” smell in the room. - bathroom needs upgrading, our shower was confusing as the controls seemed to be installed backwards for the hot and cold functions. Theres no hand held shower head. - no fan in the bathrooms. All in all we had a good stay."
