"There was no signage for the car park as it was through a narrow gap behind the hotel. I was given the key to the room, which I was told was through a door to the right of reception. On going through the door I found I was outside in the poring rain with again no signage. I went back into the hotel and found a lovely lady who was cleaning, who I asked where room 225 was. "This is exactly what you want in a guesthouse in a tiny village. By far the best place we stayed at in Scotland with amazing staff, beautiful decor, and absolutely amazing food! Do not skip the restaurant! Cannot recommend the Bankfoot Inn enough!"

"This hotel in Pitlochry was a convenient stop-over when we were en route from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye. While there are lots of things to see and do locally, our schedule allowed us to stay only one night. The rooms were comfortable if on the small side given the angular walls that followed the roof line. The beds and linens were fine, and the rooms had a nice modern shower. Plenty of parking available, great breakfast in the morning, and friendly staff. The only real drawback was that...

"Our accommodations in the Walled Garden were immaculate, spacious, and peaceful. The property has miles of beautiful trails and paths and lovely views along the River Tay. Meals were a delicious experience for all of us in our party. We wished we had more time to linger here!"

"The shower didn’t work and there was no hot water so showering was in a dribble of cold water. We did tell the girl on reception but never got fixed. The room was economy so maybe other rooms are better but if you want to close the door while on the toilet then defo pay more. Can’t watch tv in bed as it’s around the corner. The staff were lovely though just didn’t solve the problem and a shower is a must especially in 25 degree heat"

"I had a one night stay and needed basic accommodation, this sufficed. If staying be aware, I hadnt realised check in is before 7pm unless you advise (it was on the literature I just hadn't read it). My only hesitation to stay again is all the locks are electronically operated, and no one is on site. To feel safer as a lone traveller I would prefer to have a chain, or internal lock to the door in addition, in case the electrics failed at night and my room door would effectively be open."

"This was the best hotel experience I’ve had in Scotland. Staff were so welcoming and helpful, rooms and common areas so beautifully designed, and is walking distance to the downtown. A plus was the gorgeous garden to hang out and have a glass of wine. We’ll definitely be back."
