Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The area is the best you will find in central Lugano. There is a funicular next to the hotel taking you directly to Lugano train station. The lake is 200m walk. We selected this hotel because of its proximity to the main railway station in Lugano (we were touring using a Swiss rail pass) and it proved an excellent choice. Check-in was swift and straightforward, and our room - with balcony - at the front of the hotel gave views across the lake to the mountains beyond.
