This church was founded in 1889, and is the oldest Catholic diocese in Portland (the details of which can be found on the web site). I drive by the church every day, though it is a little hard to see it through the freeway overpass. Some of my first photos on Trover were of this structure. It's really a gem, but you'll have to get here before 2pm on a weekday if you want to look inside. That is the kind of discovery you can't hope to make at 1:57 pm and still get there in time. Don't miss visiting the USS Blueback while at OMSI. View the I-5 Marquam bridge. Portland names all their bridges. I guess we go across bridges so often we feel a personal connection to them. It's one of the things that makes our city "special"
