"This is our second time staying at the Gem Suites in Evanston. Everything is very clean. The staff is proficient and the breakfast is enjoyable. We also appreciate the free parking. We enjoyed ourselves and we come again last time. We had a larger suite which we liked better at our last stay. I would recommend this to any traveler who is staying for a couple of days and would enjoy an entire suite filled with a kitchenette."

"We stayed here after a connecting flight was cancelled and rebooked to the following day. The shuttle comes every 15 min so it was easy to get to and from Ohare. Room was clean. And staff was so kind! Just what we needed after a crazy day of traveling. No complaints!"

Fabulous staff that accommodated my early arrival bag storage & changing in rest room pre game. Only issue is parking. Not clear signage but it’s off Clark street look for big on building. Once you leave u pre pay but pull all the way up to exit doors or they won’t open spent 15 minutes figuring out how to trigger the exit Fabulous pregame or other...

"You’d think getting a hotel suite not downtown you’d have free parking but not the case at all. Huge amounts of empty parking lots that are unused but charge you 25 dollars a day to park or walk half a mile."

"This is a very basic option. The room was clean on arrival but not once cleaned in 3 nights 4 days. There is next to no staff, entrance from the outside works with the room key. The place is shockingly ugly even by the standards of these hotels. Aircon is so noisy that it's hard to sleep. For what it offers the price is offensive"

"Upon arrival, everyone was pleasant and helpful. If anything, the only thing I would suggest is a Al carte offering for breakfast. I would’ve rather had a coffee and water versus laying $22 for the full buffet I didn’t need."

"Overall, this hotel is okay for a one-night stay, but I would not recommend it for a longer stay. The biggest issue was the room cleanliness. We found hair in the room and in other areas, and the floors and sofas did not appear to be well maintained. Housekeeping standards could definitely be improved. The airport shuttle was also a big disappointment for me. The experience was quite disorganized and did not meet my expectations. On the positive side, the breakfast was decent and offered...
