"Athena Resort is a fantastic unique hotel in Ninh Binh, the little house style accommodation feels like a home away from home and the pool facilities are expansive. The staff were fantastic including helping us to confirm details on sleeper buses we were taking to the next leg of our trip. The resort is standalone so is extremely quiet and tranquil with the small village of Tam Coc not too far away (20 min walk down a single road over the rice paddies), or a quick taxi / bike ride. "We loved our stay here, the location is so beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! I’m afraid I didn’t note his name but the guy on reception especially made us feel so welcome. You can rent motorbikes from the hotel and it’s quick to get to lots of the main sites around despite feeling totally secluded. We also got a couple of Grab taxis very easily. The breakfast was also really good and we ate dinner one night which we enjoyed too. Would definitely stay here again"
