Very comfortable stay. Even with language barrier the staff did their best to make our stay as smooth as possible. Breakfast was great! Rooms were spotlessly clean and staff went above and beyond to help in anything. The location of the hotel is also very convenient for the ferry and all of the attractions in Santa Cruz island.

Lovely at home feel with Max, Lourdes, and their Son. Beautifully decorated, boutique experience. If we could have stayed in Galápagos longer would 10/10 book again. Location was perfect, especially for seeing the wildlife, ice cream, and quick 6km runs to the beach!

Stayed here again for a day before catching a flight. No frills accommodation but with all the essentials needed for a very comfortable stay. Captain Max helped with late checkout without asking any questions. Great place! Great location!

A great property within walking distance from all the restaurants etc. They have a basic breakfast which does the job. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They even allowed us to get into the room very early after our ferry arriving into Santa Cruz.

We stayed several times here over a couple of weeks moving around the Galapagos. Max and his brother were lovely, helpful and ran a tight ship! It’s also a solid central location.

Captain Max B & B is great. Located in a quiet area but only a few blocks from the center of restaurants, shopping, and the pier. The amenities are great like all day coffee/tea bar, filtered water, a safe in the room, and a carafe of drinking water in your room. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. My only regret was that I couldn’t stay longer. This place is good value for the price. It is a must stay place if you are in Puerto Ayora.

Great location and host

Capitan Max was the perfect place to start our Galapagos trip. The hotel is conveniently located a 5 minute walk from the main pier on the way to Tortuga Bay. Max arranged our transfer from the airport and arranged another taxi for us the following day to take us to the highlands for the giant tortoises. We only managed to eat breakfast once during our stay as we had to leave early for day trips but the breakfast was good. The room was clean and pleasant with good aircon.
