Property is definitely older, rooms need an upgrade. The floor we stayed on had a strong sulphur smell. The good news is they are undergoing a complete renovation this year. Beach is great… soft sand. Love the size of the property. Not too big, easy to get around. Food was great. Staff was excellent! Very kind and always accommodating!

This is a perfect hotel for people who enjoy a lively atmosphere. There are various parties and performances every day, along with enthusiastic staff and delicious food. However, it’s not suitable for me. I just want to spend my vacation quietly. The hotel’s soundproofing is not very good—every night, even past midnight, I could clearly hear singing and party music. Even though I stayed on the top floor, I still couldn’t fall asleep. So I personally prefer quieter hotels.

The property definitely shows its age. It was so loud at night. They do maintenance at night and they were moving ladders and banging metal outside our door until four in the morning. The staff was wonderful, sweet attentive, but I don’t think I’ll be going to another hard rock. There are much better ones out there for the price.
The tub was discusting in my friends room.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta! We appreciated the service, food and amenities! Initially I had a minor problem that turned out to be a misunderstanding. There is a lot of staff everywhere and always happy to help. Had a great experience at the Spa. Great service from Chris and a fantastic massage from Janet!

We had a great stay. The staff was awesome! From Kevin, the Entertainment lead, to the DJs, to the bartenders, to all the waitstaff. They made the stay extra fun and special!
