"It’s a bit of a mixed bag, the hotel has such a great setting on the lakeside and was great for a meal and drink in the sunshine. Inside however the rooms are clean but very tired and dated. We booked a Bridal room which had a four poster bed that was very small and made some very loud noises if you moved or turned over while sleeping, not particularly romantic. The decor is dated and the bathroom was well past its best. We had a meal on the terrace which was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very busy with orders for hot food taken at the table however on the second day no one came to ask if we wanted anything from the cooked menu so I had toast. Given the price it’s decent value for money and we would book again but with a proper bed."

"Being si close to city centre and having a parking area is a huge bonus. Initially we were not pleased with our first room, but we were given another room without any fuss. This room was on the ground floor,clean and comfortable. The staff at this hotel deserve 5 stars...most helpful and ready to offer ideas te days out etc. Would definitely use this hotel again."

"Lovely hotel, fantastic value for money! The staff were very helpful and friendly and the house keeping staff had made a real effort to decorate the room for our 5 year old's birthday. The pool was a brilliant amenity, and very appreciated by our 5 year old, made it feel more special. The room was huge and had everything we needed, our only slight issue was how warm the room got, as there is no AC and the room and bathroom are a little tired but considering the cost it is definitely value for money and we would definitely return."
