"I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn other travelers to avoid staying here. I booked this property through Expedia for about $250 per night, expecting accommodations that matched the listing. Instead, I found a room (#308) with multiple maintenance issues, including a large gap under the exterior door that allowed rainwater to flood into the room, a TV that didn't work, rusted/stained lampshades, & other signs of poor upkeep and safety issues. I reported these issues...

"Biggest problem was the housekeeping. We had full trash cans the whole visit, it never got taken out. When we first arrived we were warned they were out of towels, but that they would bring us some when their linens got in. Well we didn’t get towels until the next night. We had to use our beach towels after showering which was less than ideal. Admittedly, it’s hard to keep a hotel right next to the beach clean, but we had wet towels on the floor of our room from day one that were never collected...

"Air conditioner was great, parking was great, the room had kitchenette with hot plate and cooking dishes. We had a dog with us. There were extra towels, coffee supplies in office entrance. Ice machine was good. A lot of stores, restaurants and even the Heart of Manteo festival park within short walking distance."
