Spacious, quiet and beautiful hotel in a former convent. Tastefully and sympathetically converted, peaceful gardens and pool, beautiful open courtyard. Some of the best dining in town. Staff were exemplary, friendly and highly skilled. Wifi was good and male parking for guests. Very highly recommended.

We had an excellent twelve days. Staff could not have been more helpful; including giving guidance on how to travel by coach/bus to Vilamoura, I was grateful for the attention to detail - even printing off the timetable for me, and discussing the practicalities. The thing which impressed me the most was the willingness of the staff to ensure that you had a great stay - suggestions about activities for my child were personalised. The facilities at the hotel matched the description, staff were very helpful , food perfect and plentiful. The location was perfect with a short walk into the town for shopping and evening meals. Would definitely return.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff are lovely. The room was right sized and clean. Every part of the common areas was also very clean. The breakfast was also very good with a wide range only options The only bit of a small bother was the location which is a bit away from the main attractions. But the hotel provides a pick up and drop option. Although you are best off if you have your own car

Great place, loved our stay. Not a lot nearby apart from boat to beach, but loved resort and didn’t need to go anywhere else

Just returned from another lovely stay at Vila Gale. All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were given a river view room with a lovely aspect overlooking the ferry and boats on the river. There was plenty of variety at breakfast and great to sit outside in the sunshine. We made good use of the shuttle bus to take us into town ... unfortunately it still doesn't run on Monday or Tuesday . Ferries to the wonderful Terra Estreita beach were very always on...

This was one of those places that is a pleasant surprise, not because of anything major, but because everything is done well, and without fuss or annoyance. The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive or overbearing, the hotel is clean and well maintained in both private and public areas. The food is good and the location is convenient for both local facilities and travel further afield.

Lovely family stay! We had a wonderful stay at Quinta dos Perfumes. The room was spacious and the bed was big enough for the two of us and our 2-year-old. We loved the beautiful swimming pools surrounded by orange trees, and the bikes with a child seat were a great touch — we enjoyed cycling to the nearby town. Great local hotel within easy walking distance from the train station in Tavira. Friendly welcoming staff on arrival and throughout our 4 night stay. Comfortable modern room with smart new bathroom and balcony overlooking well kept gardens. Decent sized outdoor swimming pool for a relaxing dip on an afternoon. The property was finished to an extremely high standard throughout, with fantastic, cosy, cottage like rooms which made us want to spend more time there in the evenings. The hotel was never busy, it only has 9 rooms I believe, and so we were often all alone by the pool which was lovely.

The hotel was exactly as it appeared in the advertising and didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was beautifully appointed and clean. The restaurant, whilst quite expensive, was open for long hours allowing lazy breakfasts and relaxed meals, especially when we arrived late at 10 o'clock at night.There was never a problem with availability of sunbeds at the pool as the hotel has a small number of rooms, and the pool was a lovely peaceful relaxing place to be with the...

Lovely stay with all the comforts but there was a mix up as we went to check out, i went to settle a bar bill and was presented with a full bill for the accommodation as well as the bar bill. The accommodation had previously been paid at the time of booking.

A fantastic and spotlessly clean hotel. We stayed here for a week at the start of March. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, which meant the rooftop bar and pool area was closed for the first couple of days. Despite the weather, Olhao is a lovely little town with enough bars and restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. The welcome was very warm. Staff spoke both portuguese and English. The hotel is approx 400m from the Roman Bridge, just a stroll away on foot. Breakfast is good and is nicy presented on a wooden plank. Very modern rooms, one negative point is the lack of power sockets (only 2 in the room), especially near the bed. As we are always prepared, we brought a 4-gang, to be able to charge 2 mobile phones and 2 Tablets. There is a small pool on the roof ferrace, we didn't make use of it so we cannot...

Out of this world. Aesthetically perfect. A place to really relax and switch off. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. I would come back here again in a heartbeat. Superb.

We absolutely loved our stay at Verdelago and would happily return. The resort is beautiful, the staff were wonderful throughout, and the restaurant team in particular were fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and really made the stay feel special. Honestly, the only things missing for us were a spa and a heated pool. Add those and it would be pretty much perfect! We had such a lovely time and would definitely stay again.
