The room was fantastic! Great view with lovely balcony. Room cleaned daily, though some days were better than others. The food was good, and the bartenders were nice. The only issue we really had trouble with was surrounding the check-in process. We had stayed at the Mirage the last time we stayed at the Majestic Resorts in Punta Cana, after our room was upgraded from the Colonial. They also gave us access to all facilities. This time, we tried upgrading to the Mirage from the elegance (due to some booking errors) but they said that was not possible, which is in stark contrast to what we did less than a year ago. We also asked about using the other properties' amenities, such as restaurants and coffee shop, but again, they said that was impossible, even when we explained that we were there less than a year ago and had access to all of the properties. The Elegance was okay overall, but the way that situation was handled rubbed us the wrong way. We like the Mirage better overall, the Elegance is fine. Of note, our butler Rafael was very kind and did a great job. The property overall is very walking intensive. The beach and pool were lovely, though the pools were freezing. The jacuzzi in our room was very nice, but the one outside only had cold water which was disappointing.

Resort is older but kept in good condition. Rooms are spacious, but show some wear and older amenities. The pools are also in need of repair with missing tiles. There are plenty pool and beach chairs, no need to reserve chairs - always lots open and even beach cabana beds. The beach is fabulous - 2km in either direction of white sand.. can walk for hours. Food is good. In our group of 10, we had 5 people all experience food poisoning on day 5, was a rough 24 hrs. Can’t identify what caused it, but that was an unfortunate incident. Thankfully all recovered and nothing long lasting. Pool towels are available via concierge. You can exchange a wet towel for a dry towel but towels are not plentiful. They are the biggest towels so that’s a plus. Staff are excellent. Our butler was Erickson. Super friendly and helpful. For the price the resort is excellent value.
Adult only pool cabanas. No Reservations required or costs.
Pickleball courts - about 8 available - decent condition. Reservations required.

Resort was overbooked so they moved us to the Mirage claiming an upgrade. It was not an upgrade as the room wasn’t comparable or better than what we booked aside from bigger. The jacuzzi was outside instead of inside so no privacy. The food was mediocre, aside from the kabuki teppanyaki table and steakhouse which were really good. The pools are really cold. Staff was friendly which helped. We had an issue in our room where the AC was froze wide open so the room was freezing cold, once they took the ice chunk out of it that improved but it then leaked water onto the drywall below and was dripping. They said it would dry up but instead it stayed wet and started to mold rapidly. When I brought this up to our butler, Ed, maintenance came in and just cleaned it off. A bandage fix for a potentially really big problem for those with allergies like myself. The resort does lack entertainment options as well. Unfortunately these were enough for us to not return in the future.

The staff was amazing! Our butler Ed was absolutely the best! He checked on us every day to make sure we didn’t need anything and if we did he made sure we got it. He helped us make reservations, arranged for pick up of our bags before we checked out, and even took care of the check out. ALL of the staff was so friendly and the bartenders were outstanding. The only issue we had was that when we arrived our room wasn’t ready at Elegance, we had booked a club junior suite. They “upgraded” us over to a family club suite at Mirage. The room was amazing! However, I don’t think we were in the adults only section like we had booked. There was a crib in front of the room next to ours which makes me think we were in the family section. Plus our wristbands said “family club”. We didn’t hear any noise from children or see any children so it didn’t end up being a big deal. If you visit here, definitely make reservations at Kabuki for the Teppanyaki table it was so fun and excellent food. The beach was sugar soft sand and we didn’t have any problems getting a Bali bed each day even though it was quite busy. The same thing was true at the pool.

All the staff were great. Had $50 free credit to use at the Logo store. At check out it took 15 minutes and 3 staff member to approve the free credit. Luck for me I had the letter stating the credit.
