"From the moment we checked in, we had a great experience. The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly, personable, and professional. He gave us a rundown of the hotel, and we even chatted about South Philly cheesesteaks! We had just spent 5.5 hours stuck in traffic coming from Philly for the Jay-Z concert and were starving. He recommended a nearby Italian restaurant, and my boyfriend (the foodie!) walked a few blocks to pick it up. The homemade rigatoni in the vodka (blush) sauce was amazing!
When we got back from the concert, the young woman at the front desk was an absolute sweetheart. We talked about our daughters, she grabbed my boyfriend an extra box of tissues and provided me with some utensils so I could finally finish my dinner from earlier but she was also so welcoming and you can see she is a hard worker which I genuinely appreciate about someone.
I’m someone who gets anxious about staying in hotels, but I was very impressed with how clean our room and the hotel were. I also appreciated seeing zippered bed bug covers on the mattresses, it gave me extra peace of mind. Plus our room was stacked with everything we needed.
The neighborhood may not be for everyone, but it didn’t seem bad at all to me. Coming from a small neighborhood myself, it actually felt a little like home.
If I’m ever back in New York and need a place near Yankee Stadium, I’d 1000% stay here again. The staff were wonderful, and the onsite parking for just $1 an hour was an added bonus!"
