"we had the most relaxing end to our 3week holiday in Korea with the last 4 days staying at Douglas house. we were taken good care of by all the staff in particular the dinner staff and breakfast staff. Although the language barrier was a little challenging, they did their best to assist us. Lovely grounds to walk around, there is so much to see and do within the Ealkerhill complex. Thank you all and we would gladly come back again and also highly recommend anyone wanting to stay here"

"It was clean and quiet "

"Booked Hotel Louize because there were no other hotels available on a holiday weekend. We were a group of friends that booked the 1 standard bed and 1 twin bed. The location was very convenient, the staff was very nice (but did not speak english), and the room was spacious for South Korea. However, the ambiance was extremely weird - old building, small hotel (~35 rooms), hallways and rooms painted black, eerie decor and mirrors. It felt a little bit creepy as the building was old, elevator was tiny, and there was only one window that was "crank open." The hotel also did not exist on google maps, though it did on Naver with very limited information. Despite this, the staff was very accommodating when we asked for extra blankets, pillows, etc. They also held a lost item we went back for the next day, so no issues with the service. The room and mirrors were all very clean and is made up of old brick walls and black paint. It was roomy enough for 3 people and the bathroom was spacious as well. I probably wouldn't stay here again just because of the vibes, but the hotel would work for a budget stay or if nothing else is available. "
