"The room was very comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, and was ideal for a weekend away with friends from university — a real treat!
The staff were helpful, the spa area was lovely and breakfast was excellent. We were also able to request a non-feather pillow, which was much appreciated as one member of our party has allergies.
Only a couple of small details detracted from an otherwise excellent stay. Having travelled from Scotland, the North of England and London, we arrived at around 9pm and...

"The staff was very helpful as soon as I arrived, even checking me in early at no extra cost because my room was ready. Room was very clean and the a/c kept the room super cool during this heat wave. Bed was a little too firm, which, as I,ve experienced, was on par for all of the nice places that I’ve stayed in while in Europe. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"Loved our stay at the Black Fox. Nice modern rooms above the pub right in the centre of town. So close and convenient to all the attractions! Thankful for the fan during the particularly hot summer, the room did heat up a bit during the days. Very comfy bed and excellent breakfast choices in the morning."

The older lady at the desk was wonderful and the younger lady who attended the kitchen and made up the rooms was phenomenal! ❣️

I will say the lack of air con was quite hard to handle as we were visiting July 7 to 9 and it was sweltering. (I understand that is not the norm )"

"For older folks traveling from other places carrying heavy luggage, not being able to hold luggage in the room upon early arrival is a pain. Also, if not from Europe cells phones and internet don't work well so not being able to contact proprietors can be a problem. If you are able to contact them there's always an excuse as to why the response was late. A younger person would likely appreciate the flat more.
