The General Manager is almost omnipresent and leads from the front; he appears unfailingly eager to help guests and to enquire as to whether there’s any little thing that could make a guest’s stay more pleasant. "We had two rooms for our family and they were both very comfortable. Nice hot showers, good heating, and very clean. We also had both our breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant for two days and they were excellent. We had a variety of dietary needs and everyone had delicious choices. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Overall we would highly recommend a stay!"

"Minimal but beautifully decorated and large room with great view. Continental breakfast included which we greatly appreciated. Easy check in and checkout process. They even thought of earplugs if you need it. One of my stays in Scotland so far. Truly felt like home away from home."

"What a great little place! It's perfect if you need a home-base and want to tour around the area. It's simple but lovely and well maintained. So clean! Alan, one of the owners is very knowledgeable and not just about the area! He has geology knowledge upon food recommendations upon hiking/walking/climbing trails. We got a lovely reception as soon as we arrived. It isn't fancy but the atmosphere and service are 5 star. "
