"Every employee from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and well-kept. Outside patio was a lovely little area to sit and enjoy the weather. Housekeeping was excellent - never had to ask for a thing, room was always fully stocked with whatever we could need. Breakfast was different each day and very well done. Thank you!"

"Location is a little bit out of town so you have to drive into town and pay for parking which is a hassle for me because I’m handicapped and parking is very difficult for me, other than the train ride and dining there is not really much to do in Durango. The usual tourist traps are everywhere so I moved on to Grand Canyon the next day."

"We loved staying at the Gable House along with our dog. The owners and staff were wonderful. We plan to stay there again. We appreciated the 40 amp EV charging onsite for free. This made our travels very easy. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was also wonderful."

"Front desk staff was not friendly for check in. Pool and hot tub were out of service, which was not disclosed. Breakfast was limited and out of silverware and coffee with nobody restocking the 20 minutes we were in the lobby. Would not stay again. Not worth the already steep cost."

"Staff was very rude when it came to helping in the area where they served food. Happy hour drinks were mad by a rude lady that wouldn’t help with just a regular drinks. Breakfast food was out by 8am and they said they were not cooking anymore when family’s went in they had to leave because no food was there. Ac also do not work in rooms it’s like a fan blows semi hot air. And the microwave did not work."

"On a 90th birthday trip with my mom…had a gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the river…just lovely! Super comfy beds in a spacious room with a modern bathroom. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much!"
