"The first night we stayed there, there was an ant infestation at the property. Ants were coming out of the wall and were in the beds. The apologized and moved us to another room. Ok, not their fault per se. My kids bring their personal blankets with them when we travel. We went to go wash them at the local laundromat. A woman ran in front of my car stopping us and accused me of stealing their blankets from the property. I explained these were our personal blankets from home and I was going to clean them. Next door was a bar that is attached to the hotel so suffice it to say, it was very loud on Friday night. The traffic is very intense and loud on the main road. "

"Good for Budget travelers. Excellent location. Don’t expect anything else. You can listen pretty much everything from your next door room. People are not supposed to smoke, but they do and the smell can be sensed through the door. Couple of rooms in our hallway were being treated for bad bugs. Super friendly staff!"

"I didn’t think much going into this hotel. I was just happy with the location and outside of what Kimpton had to offer near Main Street. I unintentionally purchased a VIP room. We were greeted with chocolates, a money credit, and even credit towards the bar. From 5-6 there even free beer for social hour!! I never stood at a hotel like this before. They have fools ball table, ping pong, and even corn hole! Fire pits and more! The rooms were super cool, and clean. They even had a free record player!!! Super cool 😎 The shower was spacious. And we were blessed to have a balcony that faced the ocean. The staff was awesome! Friendly and they even lend you out beach towels and bikes too!!! There are too many positive things to say about this place. I had such a great time- and Kimpton Shore break hotel will be seeing us again! The food was great!! I think I ate the “lean and clean” or something rather. Everything was amazing. Thank you to all the staff and customer service! "

"Initially our room was situated between a highway and a major road. It was extremely loud. We requested that we be moved and the staff were very accommodating. However, we were moved into a room that had apparently just been steam cleaned. The scent of the soap used which I assume is a pet odor reducing shampoo was nauseating and we had to keep the door open as much as possible the first two days. The carpet was soaked and maintenance had to bring us a high powered fan to assist in drying it. The staff were great! Breakfast was quite limited. The pool was clean but very cold. The hot tub was shut down by order of the health department our first 3 days. Our last several days were fine. "
