"The actual room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and clean linen. The bar wasn't open in the day, but that was okay. There are plenty of pubs and bars a five minute walk away. A steep hill, though, for those with disabilities. Lots to see in the upper town. Very historical buildings. Lots to explore. The food on the night was absolutely fantastic! 5 star for us. The flavours were amazing, and extremely well priced. We would definitely stay again."

"Mixed experience, some good, but room for improvement We stayed for one night as a family of four in a family room. There were some definite positives. We had dinner in the pub and the food was lovely. Breakfast was alright, perfectly acceptable, but nothing particularly memorable. The outdoor area was a real highlight for us as a family. "As much as we loved the location of this hotel, we would not return again. The walls are painfully thin and we were woken up to loud conversations at 4:45AM which completely disturbed our sleep. Thankfully we were not checking out that day so was able to sleep in. The room was ok - for an Executive Room, we were expecting better looking room. The lift system is not ideal but mindful that it was Bank Holiday weekend."
