Cavalier Oceanfront Resort

"We loved everything about this hotel! It felt like we were in another world. The location was beautiful. Our balcony facing the ocean was worth it and at an amazing price. We went just my boyfriend and I, but want to return with our daughter. We saw lots of families there. There is a lot to do just there at the hotel, giant chess and checkers, a pool and hot tub that was always in use. And the hotel is only minutes from Hearst Castle and the elephant seals which are must sees! The food at the restaurant at the hotel was delicious. We ate all meals there and it didn’t matter what you ordered (breakfast, lunch or dinner) all of it was good! Staff was very friendly and answered all my random questions lol Would definitely recommend and stay again!"

"The parking lot was completely empty when we arrived just after noon, but the girl was quite short “check-in is at 3p”. When we came back at 5p, there might have been a total of 10 words said. The room was clean, well appointed, it was on the beach side and it was as quiet. Ps we tried to notify someone the toilet was clogged but no one was at the front desk to checkout. Do apologize for that surprise."

"The rooms were bright, clean and airy. The breakfast was a hot breakfast and very good. The rooms were quite large. Front desk staff was very helpful, we had to move to 3 different rooms, key would not open first door. Second room, hairdryer would not work. Third room was fine except coffee maker did not work. The maids should check these things out before people arrive. Hairdryer not working was upsetting as my hair was wet and we were trying to go out. All in all those things happen but we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend Luigis Pizza, huge meatball sandwiches and yummy menu."
