"We rented a car and drove from Siracusa, with stops in surprisingly beautiful Noto and historic Modica before arriving in Ragusa, one of the most beautifully situated cities anywhere! I chose the Itria Palace due to it's location and with our having a car, parking was an issue. Right next to the hotel is a free public parking lot with plenty of spaces. "The property is in an amazing town with much history. The biggest problem is access. We made reservations five months before we arrived and at that time we requested a room on a lower floor, knowing the topography of the town and that some rooms had many steps. "Brilliant location for Ragusa Ilba, loved wandering around exploring in the evenings. Checked in at at Hotel Barroca where the staff were wonderfully helpful and breakfast magnificent. We were perhaps expecting the studio apartment to be somewhat more characterful, with tiles and stone walls, however it was perfectly delightful."
