"Great hotel close to airport with free shuttle, comfy beds, and great breakfast"

"Great staff, easy check in, breakfast is daily from 7:30 to 10:30. Highey recommend. Bus stops very close by for those who don't have a rental car. Bus 130 takes you straight into central Dublin! Perfect experience all around for Clontarf Castle and the staff"

"It's a beautiful hotel and the dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent. We were also very happy with the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, for the price we paid, I expected air conditioning in our room, or at least a circulating fan to use. The one window opened only a sliver and it got pretty stuffy in our room fairly quickly. That was during May; I can't imagine what it would be like during a summer heat wave."

"There are 2 Clayton Hotels in the area. Make sure you go to the one right next to the airport entrance. Breakfast will was good but not outstanding. Rooms have air conditions which is a life saver in warm weather. Many hotels do not."

"The hotel itself is fabulous. Front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. My experience in the bar/restaurant was not a good experience. I was travelling solo and was treated like a nuisance because I was dining alone. I was very happy to sit at the bar while I waited for a table but 2 couples and a single were given tables before me. "From check in to check out ..everything was smooth..welcoming ..very professional but courteous.. What really impressed me was shortly after going to my room reception rang to see if all was ok...and to let them know if I needed anything..one doesn't get that in a lot of hotels... Couldn't fault this hotel.."

"We stayed at The Lucan Spa two different days during our trip as we were driving through Ireland and it was not too far from the airport. I can’t say enough about the staff - we arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage there with no problem. I injured myself and they were genuinely concerned and extremely helpful. "A nice hotel with clean rooms, easy check-in and check-out, with free parking for hotel guests in a car park connected to the hotel for easy access. "Outside the room window was an air conditioning unit, or something similar, that made a 24/7 noise that would remind you of a tumble dryer constantly running. When reported to staff, they looked amazed that someone would have the audacity to complain about their hotel and nothing was done.
