We stayed for New Year’s Eve and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and attentive! The hotel is gorgeous and the views of the lake are lovely. It’s a little bit out of the way but it’s worth it for a lovely stay. The breakfast was also really good!

Really enjoyed the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway trip up to Boot and back. Impressed by the small size of the village yet there were three pub/eating places and a small village shop! Potential for nice walks especially at low tide.
Nice pub next door with some good foot and an excellent selection of beers.
It was just a stop for the night so didn't explore or visit anywhere
