"1 Star – Not Recommended This is not really a hotel but an old countryside pub with a few guest rooms. The location is extremely remote, and it is pitch black outside at night with very little lighting. The building is old, the rooms feel dated, and the overall experience was disappointing. If you’re expecting a comfortable hotel, you will likely be disappointed. I would not stay here again."

"We arrived on a Tuesday to be told the pub doesn't open on a Monday or Tuesday, so no food or drink available. This should be noted in the literature about the place as it was in the country and had to travel a few miles to find the amenities. The Grab and go breakfast was a lot to be desired."

"Lovely rooms. Gorgeous garden. Such an authentic experience staying above a pub. We felt part of the village by the end of our stay! Sam and her husband were incredible hosts and his food was exceptionally good! We’d go out of our way to stay here again."

"My bijou little room was on the first floor of the inn (as opposed to some rooms they have in separate buildings). Quite a nice little room but no view and I had to climb onto the bed to open the velux window. When I opened the bathroom window I had unfortunate cooking smells from the kitchen extractor which was a few feet away, so I only opened it outside meal times. There was no information in the room so I had to wait until the morning to get the WiFi code - I think this should have been...

"I stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. The staff helped me locate the property (wedding goers had parked in front of the sign and hidden it). I had booked a single room and it was ideal for one person. Shower room spacious and worked well."
