This is the 2nd time I have reviewed Oyster Point. The location and views are truly beautiful and fortunately the hotel takes advantage by having huge windows in the restaurant and bedrooms.
The rooms are very clean with great bed linens but the furniture is tired and often banged up.
The people who work at the Front Desk are professional and smart but they aren’t given extra tools to make the check in experience good to excellent: there is no valet so it is up to the customers to lift there bags into the hotel and up to their rooms.
The elevators are banged up and not always working properly.
The living room area and restaurant are very pretty.
The service and food is adequate. With the exception of a few items on the breakfast menu that are delicious.
Tina, my server at breakfast both days, was polished, smart, professional and made the experience very pleasant. Tina should be training the evening staff as they are more interested in who is at the bar than polished service and excellent food.
The rooms, as mentioned, are very clean but the housekeeping staff is grumpy and not accommodating. In all 3 of my stays, at least 2 service carts are omnipresent in the hallway which is very unprofessional. They are no bathrobes or slippers and you have to ask to have you room to be serviced if you are stay more than a day.
I will go back as it is close to where my children live and the sunrises and sunsets make it worth it. OP has so much potential under the right leadership.
