"We recently stayed at the Blake at Taos Ski Valley, and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The location is absolutely superb. and the property is beautiful and very well laid out. Our room was thoughtfully designed, had a convenient kitchenette, a balcony overlooking the mountains, and having two bathrooms was incredibly handy for a family. The staff really stood out. Everyone from the front desk to the valet and restaurant team was warm, welcoming, and professional. The valet and indoor garage were convenient, and the 24-hour market was a nice touch.
The mountain setting is stunning, though at around ninety three hundred feet, it can take a couple days to adjust to the altitude. There were a few areas for improvement. We were disappointed that room service isn’t offered. The restaurant menu felt limited, especially at dinner. Only a few entrées and some are fairly adventurous, which may not suit everyone. Breakfast was a letdown, too. The coffee situation was frustrating enough that we ended up walking to Black Diamond Espresso every morning. We also tried the Taos salad and didn’t enjoy it. It just didn’t work for us. Despite those issues, the setting, the rooms, and the exceptional staff made it a wonderful visit. With a stronger menu, better coffee, and room service, it would be outstanding. We’d gladly stay again."
"Really nice location, good and ample parking, with a bar and restaurant in the lobby. It’s a little rustic because it’s old and historic, but they’ve maintained the property really well."
"Easy check in, room ready when we got there a bit early. Refreshments in the greenroom coffee teas pastries were delish.
Comfortable bed, very quiet. Their sister location, which is much larger, has happy hour daily and include $5 tacos on the bar menu. Not handy for pool usage as it is a 5minute drive to the sister location where the pool is.
Breakfast with different daily quiche, fresh fruits, croissants or pasties, coffee in the pot or Nespresso. Helpful staff wonderful garden area and close to everything in town. Roads are narrow and probably not the best for walking to restaurants nearby."
